| 抄録: | Shiki Masaoka (1867-1902) was born in Matsuyama, Shikoku. He studied in Matsuyama and Tokyo. He became a famous modern Haiku reformer. His leadership gathered a great number of friends and followers, and made the "Shiki Mountains". Shiki was very much interested in baseball which was brought from the United States. He was a good player of baseball and taught his friend and followers how to play it. He also enjoyed a baseball game with them all. Shiki was a great reformer of modern Haiku and a great pioneer in the history of Japanese baseball. His personality was very strong, wide and warm. |
